About the artist

I have been working as a professional artist since 2003 after a very diverse career in the Canadian Air Force. The bulk of the artwork in the Ruby Lane Shop are my day to day “ponderings” in charcoal drawing, oil painting, acrylic painting and encaustic painting. When I start a new series, they will shop up in Ruby Lane first.  More information can be found about me on my regular website.

The mediums I use

I use oil and acrylic painting and charcoal drawing as mediums of artistic expression, almost like a diary. I absolutely love the charcoal. It is so expressive and I enjoy the ability to sculpt it. The focus of the subject matter is primarily nudes, both female nudes and male nudes - most recently predominantly in charcoal drawings and ink paintings. All my art work is original, and there will never be any reproductions!
